Spring Chicken, Lamb or King Prawn marinated, spiced with a special recipe mix with yoghurt and barbecued on skewers over flames in our specially made clay oven and served with salad.

Hasina or Shashlik : juicy pieces of lamb or chicken marinated in exotic spices, skewered and barbecued with onion, tomatoes and capsicums, very tasty and specially made for the discerning diner.

in India this is cooked with boneless chicken breasts marinated in yoghurt, lemon juice and salt for some time then cooked until the spices are swollen and coloured then stir in the green chillies, garlic,onions and finely chopped ginger.

Shofri Gosht is a very homely dish from Sylhet and very seasonal. Lamb with Pumpkin is a particular favourite with the staff at Café Masala because it is a taste of home cooking.
Chef Mr. Ali is very confident of its appeal so much so that it is being offered to customers along with other dishes.

A fabulous selection from our kitchen - delicately flavoured chicken and lamb marinated in fresh herbs and spices with capsicum, onion and flaming Brandy.

Very mild and creamy, sweet flavoured with Almond, Sultanas and Coconut - Saucy and soft. Highly recommended for children and those keen on creamy, fruity curry.

Medium hot and saucy but no extra flavour - simply a plain domestic curry.

Marinated chicken, meat or King Prawn,

Prepared with butter and thickened with cream cooked in red wine
and flavoured with cinnamon, coriander and cloves etc.

Diced boneless chicken or meat grilled over charcoal and then fried with exquisite oriental herbs, chopped tomatoes and capsicums, served sizzling from the iron Korai.

A double preparation of Sylhet origin curry - first being cooked by methipatha with a bit of capsicum and with multiple proportionate spices to make it medium hot and then garnished with ghee, fried tomatoes and onions, it carries waiters recommendation. Hot or Mild on request.

An Indian special occasion dish comprising cooked onions and tomatoes flavoured with capsicums, methia-patha, condensed and spicy. Soft/Dry medium hot and highly recommended for everybody. Hot or Mild on request.

East Indian in origin - hot and sour, comprises of crushed onion, pieces of lemon, tomato paste and cooked with traditional spice. Recommended for those keen on Indian varieties.
Served with Pilaw rice.

North Indian in origin, fairly hot and sour, garnished with hot lentils - recommended for regular curry eaters. Hot or Mild on request. Served with Pilaw rice.

Cooked with chopped onions spiced with all the oriental spices, methi-patha.
Medium hot and dry. Recommended for every body.

This is curry introduced from the experience gained at our other branch that curry lovers requested often - a curry comprising chicken, meat and king prawn, medium hot, soft , saucy / spicey.

Medium - Originated from the extravagant kitchens of Royal Persia and popularly spread among Indian food lovers from the first Indo - Muslim rulers, before British Raj and they are still regarded as the only wedding feast in Indo - Bengali Sub - Continent. it is a combination of some of the traditional spice mixed with a special rice and fried with ghee, then served with a vegetable curry sauce, usually medium hot. Hot or Mild on request.

These dishes are not full portions,
but are strongly recommended as a supplement with our curries.
